THE PORTABLE INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING THE STATIC STRENGTH PARAMETERS
OF THE INDUSTRIAL DIAMOND POWDERS

The testing principle PURPOSE: The microprocessor based machine is intended for automatic testing the diamond powder particles strength within the bounds from size 40µ to 1200µ and from strength 0.7N to 1400N. The instrument measures the magnitude of the effort (in Newton) at the moment when a single testing particle destructed under pressure between two plain-parallel hard tablets. Such method makes it possible to get the integral parameter of static strength and statistic parameters of the diamond powder strength in a testing powder lot. Also, the gistogramm on the strength of each particle allow you to determine a mixture of good and second-grade powders. The instrument sends the results of measures to the built-in printer or to the computer through serial port. The device allows to distinguish assuredly the low-strength and low size powders, for example, powders with average strength 1.0N from another one with average strength 1.1N
